Intimate Peel PRO from INFINI uses lactic acid and kojic acid to remove the top layer of the skin (epidermis). The effects beneath the removed epidermis are noticeably smoother and brighter skin. Lactic acid is specifically used to treat hyper pigmentation, age spots and other factors that contribute to a dull and uneven color/complexion.

Other benefits of AHAs like lactic acid include improved skin tone and reduced pore appearance. However, AHAs such as glycolic acid, lactic acid are a bit milder. This makes a lactic acid peel a better choice for the skin. Kojic acid [alpha-hydroxy acid] has a high whitening and depigmenting effect, inhibits melanogenesis and it is used in melasma, chloasma, senile lentigo, solar lentigo and dark circles treatments.

* Melasma is a change in the skin that appears as brown marks on the face of adults.

*Chloasma is a frequently occurring skin disorder which particularly appears in the summer months with an onset in March or April. Melasma is most common in women in their 20s, 30s and 40s. Melasma is caused by a combination of hereditary factors, light (UV radiation, infrared light, visible light) and sex hormones (estrogen)
